Just finished this. Another example of a story that would have been a good magazine article that was dragged out into a novel. All the Oscar Wilde references were annoying. The last half of the book more interesting but my final thought is that Harrison Post was just not that interesting a person. His relationship with William Clark isn’t even discussed in any depth. Don’t waste your eyesight on this. Run of the mill at best. Repetitive and boring, this book really needs some family trees. Too many family members share the same name. The writer suddenly uses Clark III's nickname and I had no idea about whom she was speaking. I think I spent more time on the internet trying to figure who the people were than reading the book.. Tedious and not that interesting.
